Sue Hodges

Sue has recently retired from 30 years of teaching in both primary and secondary schools and is now qualified as a Nordic Walking Instructor. Whilst Sue was teaching she helped students from her school to participate in the Ten Tors event and assisted her husband when he ran a school trip to the Italian Alps. Sue enjoys hill walking, mountaineering and ski touring in a variety of locations including the French, Italian and Swiss Alps, Bolivia, North Wales, the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales, Exmoor and of course Dartmoor.


Sue is currently undertaking her Hill and Moorland Leader qualification and has previously completed Mountain Leader training. She is keen to encourage others to learn to Nordic Walk because of the many benefits that this form of exercise offers including the chance to socialise whilst getting fit
