25/08/2018 | Wild Camping workshop with the Two Blondes Moderate walk

Walk overview

A wild camping workshop to include classroom tuition at the Visitor Centre in Princetown and overnight practical experience out on Dartmoor.
We will learn about equipment, choosing a wild campsite, safety, what to do in an emergency and how to stay within the Dartmoor National Park guidelines.
For safety reasons we can’t give you an exact camping location but if you need to collect Dartmoor 365 squares N6 (Swelltor Quarry), N7 (Devil’s Elbow), O6 Princetown Railway, O8 (South Hessary Tor) or O9 (Devonport Leat) you might be lucky!
Our walk will be tailored to suit participant ability level and weather conditions but, because for some participants, this will be their first experience with a full pack this will be a relatively short walk.
Parking overnight at the Princetown Visitor Centre pay and display car park where there are facilities.
This walk is for adults only. Participants need to be able to carry a full pack but we will tailor any walking to suit the ability of any participants.
