07/03/2020 | Bronze Age and Medieval Villages Easy walk

Walk overview

Mustard Seed Walks will take a lovely lofty hike from Bennet’s Cross, close to the Warren House Inn. We will set off along the Two Moors Way, dropping into Grimspound Bronze Age Village. We will then pick up a path which will take us south the Challacombe Medieval Village before circling around to return to the car park through this area once rich in mining activity.

25/04/2020 | Exploring hound Meldon Reservoire Moderate walk

Walk overview

Mustard Seed Walks will repeat this superb walk which will take us over Meldon Reservoire dam and following the flooded valley up to Black-a-Tor Copse. A short stiff climb will take us to Black Tor, then walking back towards the quarry (keep a look out for spent musket balls!). The walk will finish by visiting the fascinating mining areas below the dam. This walk may be extended to take in the Red-a-ven Brook valley.
